All Azzaria studs are secured to the clay with glue and sealed with a layer of UV resin. We have found this to be the best method of securing the posts to last for years of wear without coming apart from the clay. UV resin, when properly cured, is not toxic and safe for skin contact. We have sold hundreds of studs with no complaints regarding skin sensitivity with the sealant. However, some individuals with hypersensitive ears may still react to the resin with prolonged wear. If you fall into this category, we would recommend either ordering a dangle style or reaching out to us directly. We can attach the post using a different method if needed! It will not be as secure but with gentle use should still hold up well.

Azzaria jewelry is hypoallergenic (lead and nickel free). Metals are either 18k gold or sterling/rhodium plated brass or stainless steel. Each pair comes with a silicone stopper.
One of the beautiful things about handmade jewelry is that each piece is unique. There are slight variations, imperfections, differences in color. These do not change the overall look of a piece, but is something to note.
Polymer clay is an incredibly lightweight material, making it ideal for statement jewelry, but it is still clay. For longevity of the pieces, they need to be treated with care. Avoid sleeping, showering, and exercising with them on, and avoid contact with chemicals, perfumes, and oils. Though the clay has a bit of flexibility, do not bend, as excessive bending can cause breakage. To clean, gently wipe with a damp cloth and set out to dry. Warning: excessive rubbing may remove paint and details.
